Job summary

AWC Staff Services is recruiting on behalf of a leading Civil Engineering division in Aberdeen, Scotland for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of high-profile energy transmission projects. You will handle cost management, procurement, contract administration, and provide client-facing support.

Experience with NEC3/4, options A, C and E, and both contractor and sub-contractor environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3/4 procurement and contract administration.
• Familiarity with Options A, C and E in NEC3/4.
• Experience working as both contractor and sub-contractor.
• Raising EW's, CEQ's and CE's.
• Supporting PM's from a commercial perspective.
• Drafting monthly applications for payment and project forecasts.
• Attending Monthly Progress meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of projects from start to finish.
• Lead cost management and procurement activities.
• Draft and submit monthly payment applications.
• Produce and review project forecasts and status reports.
• Support PMs with commercial decisions and risk mitigation.
• Represent the commercial function in client meetings.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in our client's team, you'll have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects with leading clients in the energy transmission industry. Leveraging your expertise in cost management, procurement, and contract administration, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects across the region.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Experience with NEC3/4

• experience working as both contractor and subcontractor

We are looking for someone who is use to dealing with all commercial aspects of a project and is happy with client facing discussions. Gas Process Industry experience preferred by not essential.
