Job summary

AWD Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership across multiple nationwide construction projects in a specialist structural steel environment. The role requires strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder skills and offers health benefits and holidays.

You'll manage subcontract accounts and commercial documentation, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and contribute to cost control, risk management and value throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience.
• Commercial and contractual knowledge relevant to construction projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and internal colleagues.
• Previous structural steel industry experience.
• Relevant HND (or equivalent) or degree.
• Professional membership of RICS.

Responsibilities

• Commercial project management across multiple projects nationwide.
• Analyse and agree subcontract terms, warranties and bonds.
• Prepare and submit variations, claims and measures for interim valuations.
• Monitor cost and revenue performance and forecast cashflow.
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to colleagues and clients.
• Agree subcontractor accounts.
• Attend sites nationwide and liaise with clients and subcontractors.
