Practice Plus Group's Health in Justice service is seeking a psychologist for the integrated mental health team at HMP Lancaster Farms (and oversees HMP Kirkham). This three-day part-time role focuses on complex case assessment, leading psychological interventions and supervising staff within a secure remand setting.

You will contribute to service development, supervise trainees, and provide clinical leadership while ensuring robust governance and records.

Qualifikationen

• HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist is required.
• Postgraduate training in at least one therapy for severe and long-standing mental health difficulties (e.g., CBT, systemic/family therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, CAT, DBT).

Aufgaben

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessment of complex patients.
• Lead and evaluate psychological interventions for individuals and groups.
• Provide clinical leadership to the mental health team and advise on psychological matters.
• Provide training and supervision for healthcare and prison staff.
• Plan and supervise placements for doctoral psychology trainees.
• Supervise junior psychology colleagues, students and trainees.
• Contribute to policy and service development and lead service projects.
• Attend reviews and contribute to risk management meetings.
• Maintain clinical records and outcomes data.
• Plan handovers when patients transfer or are released.
• Undertake audit, research and service evaluation.
