Priory Hospital Chelmsford is seeking a consultant psychiatrist to lead assessment, diagnosis and tailored treatment plans for patients with complex mental health conditions. You will provide medical leadership, supervise care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred treatment.

Essential qualifications include MRCPsych (or equivalent), CCT, and GMC Specialist Register with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.

Qualifications

• Must hold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification) and be on the GMC Specialist Register.
• “Section 12(2) approval” and “Approved Clinician” status are essential.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to CPD and continuing professional development.

Responsabilités

• Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including diagnosis and risk assessments, and develop individualised treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medical leadership and clinical oversight, reviewing progress and adjusting care plans.
• Collaborate with the MDT to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
• Lead on medication management and prescribing with appropriate monitoring.
• Contribute to clinical governance, safeguarding, risk management and service development.
