Qualifications

• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification required.
• CCT or equivalent and GMC Specialist Register inclusion essential.
• Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status required.
• Demonstrated leadership in a multidisciplinary mental health team.
• Commitment to CPD and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medical leadership, oversight of progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with MDT to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
• Lead on medication management, monitor effectiveness and safety.
• Contribute to governance, safeguarding, and service development.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and discharge summaries.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Provide supervision and support to colleagues within the MDT.
