Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford, UK, is seeking a capable Project Planner to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, baselines and forecasts. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams across engineering, procurement and construction to ensure on-time delivery and effective change management.

The role requires strong planning skills, experience with Primavera P6, and knowledge of electrical transmission projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering, project management or another relevant discipline.
• Strong project planning and schedule-management experience within EPC or turnkey project environments.
• Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Experience in electrical transmission sector, with knowledge of AC substations.
• Understanding of project dependencies and logical sequencing across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Experience producing schedule analysis, forecasts, recovery plans and resource projections.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and establish approved baselines with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and update project schedules, including resource forecasts, throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify prerequisites, interfaces, dependencies and blockers with teams and third parties.
• Monitor progress, forecast realistically, and plan mitigations for delays.
• Analyse schedule performance using planning techniques and indicators.
