ScottishPower is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex capital projects within the SP Transmission business. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, govern contracts, and drive on-time, within-budget delivery across substation, overhead lines, and cabling projects.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in complex project development and delivery.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Expertise in project management methodologies, risk management, and contract administration (NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
• Working knowledge of Electricity Transmission System and infrastructure planning.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams and governance for large capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of complex capital projects, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and budget adherence.
• Own project governance—manage contracts, financial forecasting, and risk mitigation.
• Drive efficiency through value engineering and best practices to outperform price control targets.
• Develop and manage project programmes with accurate scheduling and resource planning.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and external contractors to deliver outputs aligned with targets.
