Lead Project Manager

Cheltenham (One day a week)

Up to £80,000 base salary plus bonus.

VIQU has partnered with a leading FTSE100 company seeking a Lead Project Manager to assist with an ongoing digital transformation. The Lead Project Manager will directly manage a team of four project managers, focusing on Application (ERP/SaaS) and Infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate must have prior experience as a line manager, be comfortable delivering projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, and have a history of delivering a range of projects including Dynamics 365, ERP systems, Application integration, Warehouse Management Systems, and SaaS implementations.

Responsibilities of the Lead Project Manager:

1. Manage a team of four project engineers, support their development, set KPIs, conduct 1-on-1s, and ensure project delivery while fostering continuous improvement.
2. Standardize project management processes and establish a clear process for project delivery.
3. Develop a Project Management Centre of Excellence (CoE).
4. Ensure adherence to best practices.
5. Support complex Application and Infrastructure projects, tracking timelines, risks, and budgets.
6. Manage relationships with senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Experience in line managing project managers, especially within complex technical projects.
2. Experience implementing standardized project management processes or establishing a Centre of Excellence.
3. Proven success delivering complex technical projects focused on application delivery and IT infrastructure.
4. Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to gain stakeholder and team buy-in.
