Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer / Project Design Engineer for a leading recycling machinery manufacturer. You will design sheet metal fabricated parts and large structural components for high capital automated MHE conveyor systems, using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

You will lead the design, manufacturing and installation from concept through to commissioning, produce 3D/2D drawings, create BOMs, and prepare technical manuals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing large-scale machinery and sheet metal fabrications.
• Knowledge of weldments and high capital machinery.
• Experience with 2D/3D drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, manufacturing and installation of specialist recycling machinery.
• Create 3D and 2D general arrangement drawings in SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Prepare BOMs and technical manuals.
• Support site surveys and commissioning to ensure OTIF.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to optimise build and cost.
