Job summary

Live-Recruitment seeks an experienced Event Production Director to lead day-to-day production on high-budget conferences and exhibitions. You will own supplier relationships, budget approvals, on-site delivery, and client dialogue across a varied UK and European programme, reporting to the Head of Production.

You are an established event leader with a track record in large-scale B2B events, comfortable managing multi-supplier environments, budgets, and on-site execution under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Event Production Director or equivalent with a proven track record delivering large-scale B2B conferences/exhibitions.
• Ability to own budgets, client accountability and project sign-off without escalation.
• Comfortable managing multi-supplier environments and on-site delivery across UK/Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead production on flagship conferences and exhibitions from brief to de-rig, owning the delivery.
• Sign off key project decisions and approve budgets day to day.
• Source, negotiate and manage supplier contracts while maintaining quality.
• Own on-site delivery including H&S, build schedule and live show execution.
• Manage senior client relationships and troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Support and mentor junior production team members alongside Head of Production.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date across financial, technical, scheduling and H&S aspects.
