Job summary

SRG is exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturer near Winchester seeking a Lead Process Operator to join the production team. The role is shift-based (2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday and requires own transport.

You will oversee Production Technicians, run distillation processes, and be the on-site responsible person for incidents, weighing, sampling and operating vessels up to 1300kg.

Qualifications

• Recent, proven experience in production or manufacturing in either a food, chemicals, cosmetics or pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
• Accuracy in weighing and measuring out raw materials.
• Strong production plant safety awareness.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn.
• Effective communication as part of a multi-disciplinary production team.
• Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the work plan is implemented and followed on shift.
• Overseeing a team of Production Technicians, ensuring safe production.
• Running distillation production processes in the plant.
• Operating a range of equipment including vessels up to 1300kg.
• Packing off finished product into kegs, drums and IBCs.
• Weighing, compounding and sampling finished products.
• Being the responsible person on site for any incidents/spills/accidents.

Title: Lead Process Operator

Location: Winchester, Hampshire

Salary: £31,741 per annum + 20% shift allowance

SRG is exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturer in the food industry who are now looking to hire a Lead Process Operator to join the production team at their site near Winchester. This exciting opportunity would be well suited to a Senior Process Operator looking to take a step up, or to move away from a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Important note: this role is a shift-based role, so candidates need their own transport and be happy to work on a permanent late shift (2pm - 10pm) Monday to Friday.
