Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Process Operator for a family-run animal feed manufacturer in Yeovil, England. The role is temporary to permanent with rotating shifts and a pay rate of £13.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will help operate and maintain plant/mill machinery and monitor product quality. Typical shifts include 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 8pm-6am rotations; the company has 125 years’ experience as a leading UK animal feed producer.

Qualifications

• Physically capable (role involves lifting and standing).
• Must be able to work all rotating shift patterns.
• Manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred.
• Mechanical background beneficial.
• Eager to learn with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate within Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
• Supervise bulk material intake and designation to bins.
• Complete Daily Production schedule.
• Complete Daily Handover sheets at end of shift.
• Monitor product quality throughout manufacturing process.
• Notify Warehouse Operator when product is ready for packaging/loading.
• Ensure finished product bins are emptied to refill and recorded.

Salary: GBP13.5 - GBP13.5 per hour

• Job Title: Process Operator
• Location: Yeovil
• Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour (£40k-£42k salary once transferred permanently)
• Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
• Working Hours: Following rotating shift pattern:

Monday to Saturday 6am-2pm (48 hours)

Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm (40 hours)

Sunday (8pm-6am) Monday- Friday 10pm-6am (50 hours)

HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced and motivated Process Operator to join our client’s family run animal feed manufacturers based in Yeovil. They celebrate 125 years being one of the UK's leading and trusted animal feed manufacturers.

The successful candidate will play a crucial part in meeting production demands and standards, operating and maintaining plant/Mill machinery and monitoring quality of products.

General Duties:

• Operate within Health & Safety requirements and all relevant company procedure, especially appropriate sections of the company Quality Manual.
• Supervision of bulk material intake and correct designation to appropriate bins
• Completion of Daily Production schedule.
• Completion of Daily Handover sheets at end of shift.
• Monitoring quality of product at regular intervals throughout the manufacturing process, including physical quality of finished product
• Notifying Warehouse Operator when product is ready for packaging/Loading
• Ensuring finished product bins are completely empty to re-fill and to record on production schedule. Allocation and recording of finished product to designated bins.
• Liaise with Maintenance Manager and assist with on-going preventative maintenance as required

Requirements:
