Job summary

Egis is recruiting a Principal Process Engineer to lead design delivery on UK water and wastewater projects. You will guide process selection, mass balances and PFDs, working across multidisciplinary teams and ensuring robust, sustainable solutions for major programmes.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to bids and client workshops, and help shape the growth of the UK Water capability while aligning with CDM and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects across full design lifecycle.
• Act as process technical lead on projects; own design strategy and key decisions.
• Review and approve process calculations, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs and design basis reports.
• Lead process modelling and simulation using BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu or equivalent.
• Drive optioneering, capacity assessments, value engineering and design reviews.
• Coordinate across Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural, MEP, construction and operations teams.
• Promote lean, digitally-enabled delivery with standardised tools and templates.
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers on risk, scope and change control.
• Mentor engineers and support chartership progression.
• Contribute to bids, client engagements and growth of process capability.
