Job summary

The role focuses on technically robust, sustainable treatment solutions and leading a multidisciplinary process engineering capability. As a senior process engineer, you will drive design strategy, act as technical lead, and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK and Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
• 8–10+ years in process design within water/wastewater or biosolids/sludge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and client workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design delivery across full design lifecycle for water/wastewater projects.
• Serve as process technical lead with design strategy, interface management and risk oversight.
• Review calculations, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and design basis reports.
• Model and simulate processes using BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu or equivalents.
• Drive optioneering, capacity assessments, value engineering and HAZOP reviews.
• Coordinate across mechanical, civil, MEP, construction and operations teams.
• Promote lean, digital delivery using standard tools and reusable templates.
• Provide technical risk guidance to project managers and support bids.
• Mentor engineers and support chartership progression.
• Contribute to client engagement and growth of the process capability.
