Job summary
Blue Arrow’s Newcastle facility seeks a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to lead the technical delivery of advanced power conversion systems for industrial, energy, transportation and critical applications. This senior role shapes product architecture, mentors multi-disciplinary teams and acts as the technical authority across the full development lifecycle.

Qualifications
- Design, simulation and testing of power electronic converters (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
- Experience with low-voltage power conversion up to 1000Vac / 1500Vdc and above 10kW.
- Development of solutions for industrial, renewable energy, transportation, defence or critical infrastructure applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of complex power electronics projects from concept through to delivery.
- Define system architectures and ensure designs meet customer, performance and safety requirements.
- Develop system models and simulations to validate performance under all operating conditions.
- Produce functional specifications and technical documentation for multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Work alongside project management teams to reduce technical risk and ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead design reviews and approve technical documentation, component specifications and engineering procedures.
- Support customer engagement activities and present technical solutions during design reviews.
- Drive product qualification, validation and compliance activities.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers across multiple disciplines.
