Job summary
Platform Housing Group is seeking a Lead Engineer - Plumbing to deliver high-quality plumbing repairs and maintenance across customers’ homes and communal areas in Derbyshire. You will balance hands-on work with coaching colleagues, promoting best practices, and supporting apprentices through assessments.
The role requires substantial plumbing experience, high health and safety standards, and a full driving licence.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Unvented Hot Water qualification essential
- Significant plumbing experience in building trades
- Full clean UK driving licence (mobile role)
- Experience working in occupied domestic properties with health and safety knowledge
Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance in customers' homes and communal areas.
- Manage jobs from inspection through to completion with excellent customer service.
- Coach, mentor and develop colleagues and assess competency.
- Sign off colleagues against the multi-skill framework and support End Point Assessments.
- Promote trade standards and best practice across Property Care.
