Job summary

EC Markets UK is hiring a Platform / DevOps Lead to own infrastructure as code end to end. You’ll write Terraform and AWS CDK, build pipelines, and ensure a fast, safe path from development to production.

Lead production readiness, implement secure, scalable deployments, and automate toil across the estate. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on DevOps experience in a financial services setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in a technical field is required.
• 8+ years hands-on DevOps/Platform experience.
• Deep Terraform expertise across multi-provider setups.
• Strong AWS networking, ECS/Fargate, IAM and Secrets Manager knowledge.
• Proficient in Python and Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure-as-code across the estate using Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Stand up production environments with clear dev/prod separation and promotion paths.
• Build and harden CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and OIDC.
• Automate secrets, state management, drift detection and safe-apply guards.
• Manage AWS footprint (VPC, NAT, S3, DMS, EventBridge) and cost awareness.
• Own observability with CloudWatch, alarms, dashboards and auto-recovery.
