Job summary

Global Payments is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join the CI/CD Platform Team. You’ll design, build, and operate scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling used across the organization.

In this London-based role, you’ll automate AWS via Terraform, manage Docker/Kubernetes platforms on EKS, administer GitHub Enterprise Cloud, and champion AI-assisted development with Copilot. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Platform/DevOps/Cloud Engineer.
• Strong Kubernetes experience with Terraform.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure management.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with Helm for Kubernetes deployment.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Monitoring and logging for cloud-native systems.
• Ansible experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and automate AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Design, build, and operate Docker/Kubernetes platforms on EKS.
• Design and manage CI/CD platforms including GitHub Enterprise Runners, Jenkins, and Harness.
• Administer GitHub Enterprise Cloud for scalability and security.
• Host and operate enterprise GitHub runners.
• Provide guidance and enablement to development teams for the CI/CD platform.
• Act as GitHub/GitHub Copilot SME.
• Collaborate in agile sprints, code reviews, and demos.
• Contribute to project plans, schedules, and documentation.
• Present technical results to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties to support platform and engineering.
