Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard’s Planning & Infrastructure Consenting team in the UK seeks an Associate or Managing Associate. The role offers exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects across energy, transport, utilities and major development, with a route to leadership.

Based in Leeds or Manchester, you will lead workstreams, develop client relationships, and deepen expertise in consenting regimes. You will join a national practice aligned with Energy, Transport and Real Estate, working with

Qualifications

• Between 4 and 8 years' PQE in Planning & Infrastructure Consenting law.
• Experience with Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAOs).
• Ability to manage drafting and advisory work with a strong sense of independence.
• Experience advising on protective provisions, asset protection, access arrangements, and regulatory interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead key workstreams on planning, infrastructure and highways matters.
• Supervise junior team members and develop client relationships.
• Advise on DCOs/TWAOs for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
• Manage day-to-day client relationships, deliverables and transaction management.
• Collaborate with partners on nationally significant mandates.
• Develop sector-specific expertise in planning and infrastructure consenting.
