Job summary

Think Legal Recruitment represents a leading international law firm seeking a talented Planning / Infrastructure Lawyer with 4+ PQE to join its Leeds or Manchester team. The role involves taking ownership of infrastructure consenting matters from start to finish on major energy and transport projects, including DCOs, environmental assessment, compulsory acquisitions and negotiations with objectors.

Qualifications

• Running infrastructure consenting projects with a good degree of autonomy.
• Compulsory acquisition.
• Environmental Impact Assessment.
• Negotiating directly with objectors.
• Drafting agreements from a blank page.
• Managing applications through to enquiries and examinations.
• Supervising more junior lawyers.
• Self-starter with infrastructure consenting experience.

Responsibilities

• Major DCO projects across energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Energy consenting and major electricity infrastructure projects.
• Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Negotiations with objectors and drafting agreements.
• Overseeing orders and plans and the application process.
