Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard in Manchester is seeking a solicitor qualified in England & Wales to join our national Planning & Infrastructure Consenting team. You will work on complex, high-profile planning, regeneration and infrastructure matters across the UK, gaining exposure to strategic advisory, transactional and contentious planning work.

The Manchester team collaborates with a diverse client base from public and private sectors, including housebuilders, land promoters and local authorities, and

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of town and country planning and highway law.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills for planning and highways agreements (S106, S278, S38).
• Ability to deliver clear, commercial planning advice and manage workstreams.
• Experience managing client relationships and taking responsibility for matters.

Responsibilities

• Advising on planning strategy for major development and infrastructure projects across sectors.
• Drafting and negotiating section 106 and highways agreements, and other infrastructure documents.
• Supporting promotion of compulsory purchase orders for local authorities and acquiring authorities.
• Advising on planning applications, development strategy and planning risk.
• Assisting with planning appeals, judicial reviews and enforcement matters.
• Working with clients and owning key workstreams with appropriate supervision.
