Job summary

Gold Group in Macclesfield is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead the planning function on a major Cheshire construction project. You will work closely with the Project Director and site team to ensure NEC contract requirements are met and programmes are robust, achievable and delivered on time.

The role requires hands-on site-based planning expertise, strong collaboration with commercial and design teams, and a track record on UK main contracting projects.

Qualifications

• Lead planner with proven track record on major UK main contracting projects.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge and contractual discipline.
• Hands-on planning experience with site-based delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, management and maintenance of the construction programme.
• Collaborate with Project Director and site management to drive delivery.
• Provide planning guidance to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure NEC contract requirements are met in programme submissions and updates.
• Coordinate planning across construction, design, procurement and commercial teams.
• Challenge construction methods to optimise sequencing and productivity.
