We’re currently seeking a highly experienced Lead Physiotherapist to provide expert clinical leadership in neurorehabilitation and respiratory care at Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre.

This is a pivotal role at the forefront of tech-enabled, evidence-based neurorehab, with the opportunity to help shape an innovative, integrated service designed to deliver exceptional outcomes for patients with and complex neurological needs.

Active Neuro is redefining specialist care for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and complex neurological conditions. At the heart of this model is our comprehensive Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which includes consultants, nurses, therapists, psychologists, and rehab assistants. This team works together to deliver individualised, goal-driven care, supported by shared outcome measures and real-time insights from our rehabilitation robotics and smart therapy technologies. Our clinicians are empowered to lead change, embed innovation, and ensure rehab is not just delivered, but lived24 hours a day.

The role:

This is a key leadership role within our multidisciplinary team, combining expert clinical practice with service development, innovation, and team mentorship. As our Lead Physiotherapist you will help shape high-quality, evidence-based therapy delivery across complex care pathways.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex neuro and respiratory assessments and treatment.
  • Integrating advanced technologies (robotics, EMG tools, digital monitoring).
  • Driving service development, audits, and quality improvement.
  • Supervising and mentoring physiotherapy staff and assistants.
  • Acting as a key MDT contributor for goal setting and discharge planning.
  • Delivering training, translating research, and fostering evidence-based practice.
  • Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights

About you:

For this role, you'll need:

  • HCPC registration and extensive experience in neurological and respiratory rehabilitation.
  • Confident in clinical decision-making and managing complex patient needs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a passion for developing others.
  • Technologically minded with a drive for innovation and service improvement.
  • Excellent communicator and team collaborator with a patient-first approach.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
