Job summary

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit on a fixed-term contract until 30 April 2027. The role involves professional leadership for Aseptic Services and overseeing non-cancer clinical screening and supervision of junior pharmacists.

You will work with the Head of Production and Lead Pharmacist to develop the service, manage QA, and support implementation of new technologies in a state-of-the-art unit.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Higher degree/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, clinical and operational leadership for Aseptic Services, ensuring safe, effective and compliant delivery of aseptically prepared medicines.
• Lead development of the service through governance, quality assurance, workforce training, digital systems and service improvement.
• Provide specialist clinical expertise and support innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Support the operation of the Quality Management System and supervise junior pharmacists.
• Contribute to the development of products and services to meet customer requirements.

Education

Post-graduate certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Higher degree/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
