Job summary

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford is seeking a pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit on a fixed-term contract ending 30/04/2027. The post leads professional, clinical and operational aspects of the service, overseeing non-cancer clinical screening and supervising junior pharmacists, with opportunities to develop clinical knowledge via ward commitments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in aseptic services is required.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive service governance and quality assurance.
Experience with training and developing staff in a clinical pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

Liaise with the Aseptic Services Manager and other senior pharmacy managers, for the long term strategic development of the Pharmacy Aseptic Service.
Responsible for developing training programmes for all staff working the Aseptic Services department.
Responsible for the development and management of software based systems within the Aseptic Services department.
Responsible for all professional aspects of the service, including legal and ethical, within the Aseptic Services department.
Contribute to the development of products and services with the Aseptic Services Manager to optimise customer requirements.
