Job summary

Pembrokeshire County Council seeks an ITU Passenger Transport Depot Supervisor to manage the depot and oversee all fleet operations for in-house passenger transport. The role is based in the Council's Passenger Transport Depot in Tiers Cross and includes supervision of drivers and attendants, recruitment, and delivery of transport services.

The post carries Salary Grade 8 (£37,563–£42,123 per annum, 45 hours per week), and a 37-hour baseline with pro rata pay for 45 hours.

Qualifications

• Supervises Bus Drivers and Attendants.
• Ensures DVSA standards are met for vehicles and staff.
• Recruitment, training needs and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-house passenger transport services and fleet operations.
• Lead transport planning and timetabling, and conduct risk assessments.
• Manage sickness absence and performance issues; handle recruitment and supervision.
• Participate in an on-call rota to respond to emergencies outside normal hours.
