Job summary

Pembrokeshire County Council is advertising a Transport Service Technician within the Passenger Transport Department. Based at the depot in Tiers Cross, you will provide technical and administrative support to the Technician in Charge to run an efficient workshop.

The role requires sourcing and managing materials, ensuring procurement regulations are followed, and a full driving licence. It is a 37-hour week, fixed-term for 12 months, with Salary Grade 5 (£27,709–£28,608 pa).

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance or workshop support is advantageous.
• Ability to source and manage workshop materials in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Technician in Charge in running the vehicle maintenance workshop.
• Source, order, receive, manage and issue materials to the fleet workshop per audit regulations.
• Monitor daily tasks of workshop staff and support scheduling and operations.
