Job summary

Prime Appointments is recruiting a Supervisor to run the paint shop for a busy Suffolk manufacturing business. This hands-on role combines practical spray duties with daily supervision of a skilled team, ensuring high-quality finishes and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a spray shop or finishing department in woodworking/manufacturing.
• Proven ability to plan workloads and hit delivery deadlines.
• Strong mentoring and people development skills.
• Knowledge of veneer selection and bespoke joinery desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of the spray shop.
• Plan workloads and prioritise jobs to meet customer deadlines.
• Mentor, develop and supervise shop team attendees.
• Ensure finished goods meet specification and quality standards.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Support recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Maintain high housekeeping, safety and organisation standards.
