1st Choice Staff Recruitment Ltd in Biggleswade is seeking a Paint Shop Supervisor to lead the paint shop team. The role includes hands-on support for wet painting and powder coating and ensuring safe use of air-assisted respiratory gear.

Based at a modern facility, 58,000 sq ft, with on-site parking, the position is Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 and Friday 08:00–15:30. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of surface preparation and material properties.
• Ability to conduct routine inspections and maintain quality standards.
• High attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Proactive, reliable; able to work independently or in a team.
• Forklift licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day paint shop operations.

Paint Shop Supervisor

Temp to Perm

A well-established global manufacturer and installer of large-scale industrial doors is seeking a Paint Shop Supervisor to join its team. The company designs and produces products ranging from fire station doors to aircraft hangar doors and large specialist structures used in high-spec environments.

The role is based at a modern 58,000 sq ft manufacturing and office facility in Biggleswade, which includes on-site parking.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 - 15:30

Role Overview

We are looking for a Paint Shop Supervisor to oversee paint shop operations. Alongside supervisory responsibilities, you will occasionally take a hands-on role supporting activities such as industrial wet painting and powder coating. You will also ensure the safe use, maintenance, and compliance of air-assisted respiratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day paint shop operations
• Support industrial wet painting and powder coating activities when required
• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, including respiratory equipment use
