Are you an experienced Paint Sprayer looking for a career progression? Do you have a background in wood finishing/joinery? If so, you may be suitable for the following role.

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to run the paint shop of a busy manufacturing business based in the Suffolk Countryside! This role is commutable from anyone who lives in Stowmarket / Ipswich area.

This is a hands-on role that combines practical spray duties with the day-to-day supervision of a skilled team, ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality standards and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the spray shop department
• Plan workloads and prioritise jobs to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved
• Supervise, mentor, and develop team members to maximise performance and productivity
• Monitor quality standards and ensure all finished goods meet specification requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and productivity
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development activities
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and organisation within the department

In addition to supervisory responsibilities, you will also be involved in practical activities including:

• Sanding and preparing products for finishing
• Mixing paints and stains to specification
• Applying finishes to bespoke joinery products
• Masking, filling, and repairing components where required
• Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment and tools
• Working on detailed quality standards and project deadlines

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of veneer selection
• Experience within bespoke joinery, furniture manufacturing, or woodworking industries
• Understanding of production planning and scheduling processes
