Job summary

Owen Daniels in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Paint Plant Manager to lead production across multiple robotic lines and drive quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is permanent with Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm and Friday 8am–2pm; salary is dependent on experience. The candidate will lead, develop and motivate teams to achieve targets and maintain high performance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of paint processes and operations.
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead paint production across robotic lines, ensuring delivery of production targets and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, throughput and cost reduction while monitoring KPIs and promoting accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical support for paint plant maintenance, fault diagnosis and equipment optimisation.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance paint efficiency, finish quality and production performance, while supporting new product introductions, paint trials, colour launches and process validation.
• Coach, develop and lead the production teams, managing performance and promoting a supportive culture.
