Job summary

Tech Connect Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer for a Plant Manager to lead its paint facility in Warwick. You'll lead the paint production team and drive performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery and people.

The role offers a 4-day week: 37 hours per week (Mon to Thu) between 06:30 and 16:00, with overtime and UK travel as needed. You will plan production, coach the team, maintain ISO 9001/14001 compliance, and continuously improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a manufacturing, production or workshop environment.
• Solid paint process knowledge, including airless paint systems and two-pack primers and topcoats.
• Experience with blast and paint booth plant.
• Strong H&S, environmental and quality knowledge.
• Experience handling formal employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances and redundancy processes.
• IOSH and First Aid training.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A management or production-related qualification plus 5+ years in a relevant industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan production schedules, resources and labour to meet demand.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, including absence management and employee relations.
• Monitor performance and put recovery plans in place when output falls short.
• Drive continuous improvement to cut waste and improve efficiency.
• Keep the plant compliant with H&S, environmental and quality standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and paint permit requirements.
• Manage stock, consumables and preventive maintenance across the paint plant.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to hit business and customer targets.
