Job summary

ARCA Consulting is recruiting an experienced Overhead Linesman (LE1) to support safe delivery of OHL construction projects across the UK. You will work with the OHL Foreman and mentor LE2 Operatives and Trainees on site.

We value strong RAMS knowledge, ability to read drawings, and a full UK driving licence; 132kV-400kV project exposure is essential. Travel and site-based duties are expected with UK-wide deployments.

Qualifications

• Significant LE1 experience within transmission and distribution.
• Proven 132kV-400kV OHL project experience.
• Knowledge of RAMS, working at height and safe systems of work.
• National Grid competencies.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Overhead line construction, including foundations, tower erection and conductor stringing.
• Installation of conductors, earth wires, insulators, fittings and associated equipment.
• Maintenance, refurbishment and dismantling of existing OHL assets.
• Working to RAMS, drawings, specifications and HSEQ requirements.
• Supporting and mentoring LE2 Operatives and Trainees.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
• Identifying and reporting operational, safety and programme issues.
