Butternut Box is seeking a dedicated production shift leader for our kitchen in Blyth. You will coordinate areas, supervise on-shift operatives and improve shift productivity, reporting to the team leader.

Responsibilities include quality checks, daily handovers, stock preparation and equipment hygiene. You will work to KPIs, support other areas, and help ensure great food quality and safety while caring for our dog-focused mission.

Formación

• Previous experience as a line leader or area leader within the food manufacturing sector
• Ability to read and communicate confidently in English
• Numerate and comfortable with numbers
• Available for a rotating shift schedule - mix of days, nights and some weekends
• Hard-working, diligent with a hunger to learn
• Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb
• Committed to food quality and safety
• Loves dogs

• Conduct quality checks to ensure a great customer experience
• Be the go-to person for all other operatives on shift
• Attend daily review meetings, appointing other operatives duties and staff role changes
• Prepare for the shift ahead confirming enough materials and stock are prepared
• Conduct quality checks ensuring that we meet product specifications
• Perform machine/equipment hygiene and changeovers
• Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators
• Be willing to jump on the production line, help with cleaning duties and other areas as needed

Today, we feed hundreds of thousands of hungry dogs across the UK and Europe - but we won't stop until we're feeding dogs everywhere. • Be humble in work duties, being open to jump on the production line, get stuck in with cleaning duties and helping other areas of the business

• This role is 100% based in our kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster

• Hours: We are pleased to say, this is a full-time permanent contract, you will be working a rolling average of 41 hours per week working on a shift rotation of days and some weekend working. The working shifts days consisting of 7am to 7pm and nights consisting of 7pm-7am. Such as:
• 4 on/ 4 off = 2 day, 2 nights
• 5 on, 5 off = 3 days, 2 nights
• 5 on, 5 off = 2 days, 3 nights, Enjoy 257.5 hours of holiday per year (equivalent to 33 days holiday), plus an extra 8 hours for each year of service (up to 40 hours).
