Job summary

Butternut Box is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the fulfilment of customer orders in our kitchen setting. You will supervise the fulfilment team, ensure high packing accuracy, and drive performance improvements in a collaborative, safety‑mocussed environment.

Based in our Blyth, Doncaster kitchen, you’ll work on a 6‑hour shift with a rolling 115 paid hours per pay period, supporting a fast‑paced operation while upholding our standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Line leader or area leader experience in food manufacturing preferred.
  • Confident reading and spoken English.
  • numerate and able to work with numbers.
  • Commitment to quality and safety in food production.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the timely fulfilment of high-quality customer orders.
  • Provide supervision and support to the fulfilment team to meet quality and packing KPIs.
  • Assist the Team Leader by monitoring and improving team performance.
  • Maintain a tidy, hygienic work environment and follow safety procedures.
  • Act as point of contact for the Team Leader for performance reviews.
  • Attend daily review meetings and participate in other related tasks.

Hours:We are pleased to say, this is a permanent contract, you will be working a rolling average of 115 paid hrs per pay period (4 weekly), 6 hr shifts per day minus 15 mins unpaid break working on a shift pattern of Sun-Thu 6pm-midnight.

The job:
  • Be accountable for the timely fulfilment of high-quality customer orders
  • Provide supervision and support to the fulfilment team in order to meet key operational metrics of quality, packing accuracy and packing rates
  • Assist the Team Leader by monitoring & improving your teams performance in order to achieve growth and accuracy in a supportive environment
  • Work in a safe way following all appropriate safety procedures by maintaining a tidy and hygienic working environment.
  • Point of contact for Team Leader for regular performance review meetings
  • Occasional attendance and contribution at daily review meetings
  • Other general tasks waste processing, order packing etc.
  • Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Work well with multiple functional teams including Engineering, Technical, Production and Warehousing.

  • Previous experience as a line leader or area leader within the food manufacturing sector (preferred)
  • Ability to read and communicate confidently in English
  • Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers)
  • Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn

The interview process:
  • Initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner, carried out remotely.
