Job summary

Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL) in Reading is seeking a Nutritional Team Leader to manage a high-volume analytical laboratory. You will oversee a team of about five scientists, drive quality and efficiency, and implement automation and LIMS integration across the lab.

The role focuses on end-to-end operations, customer service, and strategic lab development to support RSSL clients and Mondelēz International expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Experience leading a team of scientific staff and managing facilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts and stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Nutritional Laboratory operations and drive end-to-end workflow.
• Manage a team of about 5 FTEs with performance coaching and development.
• Oversee QA, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
• Optimize automation and data handling, including LIMS integration.
• Plan resources, budgets and project delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with commercial to identify growth opportunities.
