Job summary

Humly is seeking a Nursery Manager for a unique family-run nursery in Petersfield. You will lead the team, deliver a child-led approach and oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding and EYFS compliance.

The role requires outstanding leadership and communication, ensuring high-quality teaching and accurate documentation of children's progress within a supportive environment. Salary £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience, 41 hours per week, Monday-Friday and permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop an early years team.
• Passion for child-led learning and high-quality early years education.
• Understands EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and support smooth nursery operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the nursery and meet needs of children, parents and staff.
• Maintain nursery policies and promote collaboration with families.
• Lead, supervise and develop staff and monitor teaching quality.
• Manage workload, delegate tasks and provide feedback.
• Contribute to developing new ideas to improve the nursery experience.
• Lead safeguarding and ensure Ofsted and EYFS compliance.
