An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Nurse to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in South West London. This role is with one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
The hospital is a top mental health treatment centre, offering fast access to high-quality care for conditions such as addictions, depression, anxiety, stress, and eating disorders.
To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as an RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialist clinical knowledge, expertise, and support to the nursing team and wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Overseeing the clinical and care needs of all service users, supporting primary nurses in working with patients, families, community teams, and stakeholders to meet individual needs.
- Ensuring proactive clinical risk assessment and management are central to care planning.
- Reviewing and challenging nursing practice, leading by example, and offering expert knowledge to the nursing and MDT on a specialty or patient basis.
- Educating and developing Registered Nurses and HCAs to ensure safe and effective practice.
- Contributing to nurse induction, preceptorship, and professional activities.
- Providing clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions for Registered Nurses.
- Undertaking competency assessments and supportive practice with Registered Nurses and HCAs.
Preferred skills and experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience working within multidisciplinary teams in relevant clinical settings.
- A confident clinical leader capable of working across organizational boundaries.
- Experience leading service development projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, tailoring approach to individual strengths and needs.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across disciplines, seniority, and skill levels.
The successful Lead Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £50,375 - £56,329 per annum. This is a permanent, full-time position working 38.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
