Job summary

Recruit4staff is representing a leading FMCG packaging manufacturer in their search for a Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to own the site engineering function at the Tewkesbury site. The role centers on leading the maintenance team, managing budgets and maintenance scheduling via the C Works CMMS, and driving continuous improvement.

You will oversee facilities management, contractor coordination, and capital investment projects while supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading engineering teams in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical circuits.
• Engineering qualification such as City & Guilds or HNC; 18th Edition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site engineering function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Manage budgets and maintenance via the C Works CMMS system.

Job Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the site engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will manage engineering systems, planned maintenance activities, site projects, contractor management, facilities maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives while leading and developing the engineering team. Responsibilities include managing engineering budgets, delivering maintenance through the C Works CMMS system, supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, driving continuous improvement, overseeing facilities management, and leading capital investment projects.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a similar engineering leadership role within an FMCG manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical circuits
• Recognised engineering qualification such as City & Guilds or HNC
• 18th Edition qualification
• Experience managing engineering teams, contractors and maintenance systems
• The successful Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will demonstrate strong leadership and continuous improvement skills

• IOSH Managing Safely
• GMP experience
• Experience driving continuous improvement programmesPrint industry experience is highly desirable
