Job summary

Recruit4staff LTD is seeking a Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced FMCG site in Tewkesbury. You will own the site engineering function, lead the engineering team and manage budgets, projects and contractor relationships.

Responsibilities include delivering maintenance via the CMMS, supporting ISO 14001/45001 compliance, and driving continuous improvement and capital investment initiatives across facilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in a similar FMCG manufacturing role.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical circuits.
• City & Guilds or HNC recognised engineering qualification; 18th Edition.
• Experience managing engineering teams, contractors and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site engineering function and team.
• Manage engineering budgets and capex projects.
• Deliver maintenance through the CMMS system and ensure uptime.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance and facilities.
• Oversee facilities management and contractor relationships.

Pay: Up to £60,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Duration: Permanent

Job Role

Job Role: This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the site engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will manage engineering systems, planned maintenance activities, site projects, contractor management, facilities maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives while leading and developing the engineering team. Responsibilities include managing engineering budgets, delivering maintenance through the C Works CMMS system, supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, driving continuous improvement, overseeing facilities management, and leading capital investment projects.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a similar engineering leadership role within an FMCG manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical circuits
• Recognised engineering qualification such as City & Guilds or HNC
• 18th Edition qualification
• Experience managing engineering teams, contractors and maintenance systems
• The successful Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will demonstrate strong leadership and continuous improvement skills
