Job Description

Supervise a team of Lead Model Technicians in the Model Shop and Wind Tunnel, overseeing the production, delivery, and testing of high-quality test components for aerodynamic testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage workload and meet targets for aerodynamic testing programs.
• Supervise team members to ensure timely delivery of development projects.
• Ensure high standards and deadlines are met in manufacturing wind tunnel parts and assemblies.
• Assemble complex mechanical components for wind tunnel models.
• Address technical challenges and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to improve model efficiency and quality.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Support health and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Experience with wind tunnel model preparation and testing.
• Extensive model-making experience in motorsport, preferably F1.
• Strong mechanical assembly skills.
• Knowledge of metrology equipment.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including weekends.
