Qualifications

• Experience with twisted pair, coax, CAT-5, CAT-6, and fiber optic cables.
• BICSI certification is a plus but not required.

Job description

Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking a Lead Low Voltage Technician for a long-term opportunity to assist with the installation, termination, and testing of various voice and data cables.

The ideal candidate will work under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset, work as a team player, and possess the following:

Experience with various cables including, but not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power-limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, CAT-5, CAT-6, single & multi-mode fiber optic cables. Cable installation tasks include pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling. Knowledge of telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security, access control, and wireless solutions is preferred. BICSI certification (current or past) is a plus but not required. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduit experience a plus (running and bending)
• Pull, terminate, test CAT-5, CAT-6 cables
• Splice fiber optic cables
• Install J-hooks

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to climb ladders and insert cables into access points
• Lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to follow directions and learn quickly
• Prior commercial new construction experience
