Job summary

St Mary’s Wavendon CofE Primary is seeking a Lead Midday Supervisor to head the lunchtime supervision team, ensuring a safe and positive environment for pupils during lunch and playtimes.

The role is part time (11.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year) with a focus on pupil wellbeing, safeguarding and promoting healthy eating and active lunchtime experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a lunchtime supervision team.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and responsive to incidents.
• Strong communication with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the midday team, ensuring effective staffing and lunchtime supervision arrangements.
• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive environment for pupils during lunch and playtimes.
• Support pupils' wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding, responding appropriately to incidents and concerns.
• Encourage healthy eating and positive social interactions within the dining hall.
• Organise and support recreational and physical activities that enhance pupils' lunchtime experience.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
