Job summary

Harrods Store Development is seeking a mechanically biased Technical Services Manager to deliver exceptional building services across a varied portfolio of capital projects in London. You will lead MEP design reviews, manage consultants, and ensure delivery from inception to handover while upholding high standards of safety and compliance.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, Fire Safety, IT, Security and external consultants to shape engineering governance and best practices

Qualifications

• Five years' mechanically biased experience managing mechanical, electrical and public health projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, fire life safety and sustainability principles.
• Experience delivering construction or engineering projects from inception through to handover.
• Ability to review technical designs, engineering specifications and consultant proposals.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, building regulations and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health elements across capital projects.
• Managing engineering consultants and design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing and approving engineering schemes, specifications and technical designs.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, building regulations and health and safety standards.
• Overseeing project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Supporting project handovers, operation and maintenance documentation and operational readiness.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Coaching and supporting wider project teams on M&E best practice.
• Maintaining engineering standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
