Harrods in Knightsbridge seeks a mechanically biased Technical Services Manager to lead MEP delivery across capital projects within our world‑class estate. You will review designs, manage consultants, and drive best practice while balancing technical excellence with commercial needs across a complex environment.
Our Store Development team are looking for a mechanically biased Technical Services Manager to help deliver exceptional building services across a varied and exciting portfolio of capital projects. Working within a complex operational environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and sustainable delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health systems across a range of development projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to influence major investment programmes, collaborate with senior stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a world-class estate.
In this role, you will report to the Lead Technical Services Manager and act as the technical lead for MEP services across a broad range of projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Fire Safety, IT, Security and external consultants to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with technical and statutory requirements. You will be responsible for reviewing technical designs, managing engineering consultants, supporting project delivery from inception through to handover and maintaining high standards of operational readiness. You will also play an important role in developing best practice across project teams and helping to shape engineering standards and governance.
You will be mechanically biased from a design background. You will be an experienced MEP professional with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to lead complex engineering discussions with a variety of stakeholders. You will be comfortable balancing technical excellence with commercial awareness and project delivery requirements. You will enjoy working collaboratively, building strong relationships and influencing decisions across multiple teams. You will be highly organised, proactive and capable of taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
