Job summary

Leading Fit Out & Refurb Contractor in London seeks a Senior Technical Services Manager to lead the technical services on major projects. You will coordinate and integrate MEP design, procurement, commissioning, and handover, ensuring quality, safety and operational performance.

You will work with Project Directors, Designers, Subcontractors and Clients to deliver technically complex schemes on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in a Senior Technical Services Manager or equivalent role.
• Proven track record delivering complex commercial, fit-out, refurbishment, or construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and integrated building technologies.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong commercial awareness balancing programme, cost, quality and risk.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractor networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical services delivery on large-scale projects.
• Manage MEP design coordination from pre-construction through project completion.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Drive value engineering while maintaining quality.
• Oversee procurement, installation, commissioning and testing of building services.
• Ensure milestones are met through planning and stakeholder management.
• Manage technical risk and resolve engineering issues.
• Chair technical workshops, design reviews and commissioning meetings.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety standards.
• Support handovers and post-completion activities.
• Mentor and develop Technical Services Managers and teams.
