Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Mechanical Trade Supervisor to lead and deliver complex mechanical work packages at HMNB Clyde Faslane, ensuring safety and compliance in a high-regulated environment.

You will oversee multi-skilled teams, coordinate work packages, and drive quality and continuous improvement across the Fleet Engineering team, contributing to national security and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering within an industrial or engineering environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience planning and coordinating engineering work packages.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising multi-skilled teams to safely deliver mechanical engineering work packages.
• Producing and reviewing technical documentation such as work scopes and method statements.
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks to meet safety, cost, quality and time targets.
• Managing subcontractors and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Promoting a strong safety, quality and continuous improvement culture across all activities.
