Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Mechanical Trade Supervisor at HMNB Clyde Faslane to lead and deliver complex mechanical work packages, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will supervise multi-skilled teams, review technical docs, and coordinate tasks to meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Role requires SC clearance eligibility, HNC/HND in mechanical engineering, and a track record in industrial environments. 36 hours per week on site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable mechanical engineering experience in industrial environments.
• Proven experience supervising multi-skilled teams.
• Experience planning and coordinating engineering work packages.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and operational performance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multi-skilled teams to safely deliver mechanical engineering work packages.
• Produce and review technical documentation such as work scopes and method statements.
• Plan, scheduling, and coordinate tasks to ensure delivery against safety, cost, quality, and time targets.
• Managing subcontractors and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Promoting a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture across all activities.
