Ganymede Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in the UK to own and progress mechanical sub-assemblies from concept through detailing. You will produce detailed drawings, perform quick calculations, and ensure bolt-on assemblies integrate with the main machine in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design and sub-assemblies.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and perform quick calculations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturability and bolt-on assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Progress mechanical design of multiple sub-assemblies and produce detailed drawings.
• Perform quick engineering calculations and ensure bolt-on assemblies fit with the main machine.
• Lead sub-assemblies to completion and support integration with the main system.
• Standardise bolt-on assemblies for correct fit and interface.
• Carry out hand calculations and basic stress assessments.
• Interpret existing designs with strong visual and technical understanding.
• Attend design reviews and technical meetings.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve issues and progress the design.
• Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and robust.
