Job summary

Project Manager

Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading engineering manufacturer to recruit a Project Manager for their growing team in Lisburn.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business developing advanced monitoring technology for the renewable energy sector. You'll play a key role in delivering the next generation of products, working with multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple locations to bring new technology from concept through to manufacture.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a new engineering development programme, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification. This role will see you working closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams and key decision makers to manage priorities, schedules and project risks throughout the development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

• Managing engineering development projects from concept through to product release.
• Gathering and refining requirements from key stakeholders.
• Defining project scope and prioritising development activities.
• Producing and managing project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinating engineering teams across multiple sites and time zones.
• Tracking project progress and communicating updates across the business.
• Identifying and removing obstacles to keep projects on schedule.
• Supporting continuous improvement across engineering planning and development processes.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years' experience managing or leading engineering development projects.
• Experience producing development plans, schedules and project budgets.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating projects across multiple locations.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering successful project outcomes.

Desirable

• 5+ years' experience managing engineering development programmes.
• Experience within hardware and firmware product development.
• Knowledge of Jira, MS Project or similar project management software.
• Familiarity with engineering governance and product release processes.
• Experience driving Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement initiatives within an engineering environment.
